Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ presents
‘Take a Break with Art’ - Joint exhibition of 23 local illustrators
(2 November 2009) Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ is bringing art to two shops in Citywalk that have been temporarily converted to exhibition galleries. Citywalk, Hong Kong’s first evergreen shopping mall, is an iconic Tsuen Wan landmark located on Yeung Uk Road. Featuring a vertical garden, Citywalk offers shoppers a fun and inspiring environment.
The Hong Kong Society of Illustrators has been invited to curate and create the exhibition ‘Take a Break with Art’ in one of the shops, where 23 local illustrators will fill the 1,300 square feet shop at Citywalk with different art elements including graffiti works as well as 3D pieces in the form of chairs and benches.
The illustrators use their own unique angles to interpret the title ‘Take a Break with Art’. Inside the exhibition, viewers can find characters flying freely in the sky, enjoying a cup of coffee over the clouds and adventuring into the wild. All are invited to take a break from their hustle and bustle lives by stepping into the venue.
Art jam sessions will also be held for audience to join with the illustrators and create together.
